About URED Architectural Studio
URED Architectural Studio was founded by Nikola Milanović in 2013 in Belgrade, in collaboration with colleagues from the Faculty of Architecture and with the support of the family-owned construction company Gradmil from Kragujevac. From the very beginning, the studio has been shaped by a practice deeply rooted in the close connection between architectural design and construction.
Alongside his doctoral studies, Nikola has developed both his research work and professional practice in parallel, with a particular focus on multi-family housing.
Since 2020, the studio’s work on numerous projects has been enriched by the contribution of Jovana Bugarski, a PhD architect and teaching assistant at the Faculty of Architecture. Her research focuses on the role of open spaces in the restructuring of housing estates planned and built in Belgrade, as well as broader social themes.
Synergies / URED x no-office studio
Our collaboration with no-office studio is built on shared values: exploration, adaptability, and a human-centric approach to design. Together, we merge local expertise with global perspectives, leveraging tools like BIM standardization and participatory design to create spaces that are responsive, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
This partnership allows us to tackle complex projects — from urban interventions to residential complexes — with a unified vision and diverse skill sets. By combining URED’s research-driven methodology with no-office studio’s innovative strategies, we deliver solutions that are both grounded and visionary.
